Wow! What a great experience for our students! Patrice came and visited first with our 5th graders as they prepare for their Invention Convention. Then she shared her book with our student body through our in-house broadcast system. After, as she visited classrooms and met with students, you could tell they were so excited to meet Mrs. McLaurin. She was educating, enthusiastic, entertaining and most importantly, encouraging! She really connected with the students.
I found Patrice so easy to work with as we prepared for an “out of the box” author visit! I appreciated her flexibility and willingness to work with us to meet our needs.

Our K-2 students loved to see a “real” author and really loved your presentation. The teachers and I appreciate the way you blended in the importance of spelling, reading, grammar, math, etc. The students liked the fun facts you shared about your son being the model for your character and the illustrator living in China too. They were so happy to participate and ask their questions. We liked our questioning lessons before your visit and the writing extensions afterwards for some classes.
Thank you for being such a pleasure to work with and we are waiting for your next Inventors book!
